AIADMK supremo and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa returned to the Tamil Nadu Assembly with a grand manner. She won with record victory margin from the RK nagar constituency. Jaya defeated his rival Mahendran with margin of 150,722 votes.Jayalalithaa polled 160,432 votes while her nearest rival, Communist Party of India's (CPI) C. Mahendran, got just 9,710 votes .
The total votes in the constituency were around 245,000 and Jaya bagged more than 50 percent of that.Tamil Nadu Governor K.
