Free mobile phones and 50% subsidy on scooters

Tamilnadu political parties have been coming up with several offers in order to lure voters. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and AIDMK chief J. Jayalalithaa on Thursday promised free mobile phones if the AIADMK retained power in assembly elections. She also announced 50 percent subsidy for  working women who buy scooters.

"Working women will get 50% subsidy on scooters and all ration card holders will be given free mobile phones if AIADMK come to power" Amma said after releasing her party's manifesto. Apart from that she also offered  100 units free power to all households.

The raining offers have not ended yet. The AIADMK leader also said that coupons worth Rs.500 would be given to all ration card holders and a free laptop will be offered  to class 11 and 12 th  students. She also announced free set-top box for all subscribers of government-owned cable television service.  She announced that all farm loans would be written off. Its known that the DMK highlighted the distribution of free colour TVs in its 2006 manifesto.
