K Vishwanath explained what prompted him to skip the prestigious conference. 'I received invitation for World Telugu Conference on Sunday night seeking my attendance for Monday evening. Whereas, I had promise to organizers of this Award Ceremony long back that I would be in Tenali on this day. So, I couldn't attend Telugu Mahasabhalu, ' he clarified.
On this occasion, K Vishwanath told how sacred the process of film making is like. 'God made me a Director to take Devotees in the bus to Punyakshetralu. I had just fulfilled my duty,' he said upon accepting Nannapaneni Venkat Rao memorial award presented by NVR Trust.
