KCR to play dodge ball with Modi once again

Update: 2023-04-07 10:47 GMT
It Is the same story being replayed all over again. Telangana Chief Minister KCR will once again skip Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Hyderabad. He will neither welcome the PM at the Begumpet airport nor take part in the official programmes that Narendra Modi would attend in Hyderabad city.

For the past one year, KCR has been dodging Narendra Modi. He has neither welcomed him while he was in Hyderabad nor attended any official meeting of the chief ministers at Delhi. During the last visit of Modi to Hyderabad, KCR did not turn up at the programme in ICRISAT. He did not attend either the inauguration at Ramagundam or at the convocation of the IBS. Once he even claimed that he had a running fever and skipped the meeting.

This time too, the same thing could happen. Indications are that KCR would skip the PM's event of April 8. Interestingly, time was when KCR heaped praises on Modi. In fact, no other chief minister, not even those belonging to the BJP, heaped encomiums on Narendra Modi like KCR. But now, things have changed.

Modi's latest tour to Hyderabad would be clouded by the recent standoff between the BRS and the BJP over the Class X question paper leakage. T BJP chief Bandi Sanjay has been arrested and released and the whole affair has become extremely acrimonious. All these incidents are bound to cast their shadow on Modi's visit. Let's wait and watch how things unfold between the BJP and the BRS.
