Telangana Information technology (IT) Minister Kalavakuntla Taraka Rama Rao is a tech-savvy Legislator and he often helps people who are in dire need be it their medical needs or personal needs. During the first and second waves of Covid, KTR had arranged for medical assistance for the Covid patients when their relatives or friends requested the same through Twitter.
As another instance, KTR had helped a woman MSC graduate to get a job as the Assistant Entomologist in Hyderabad Civic body Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation(GHMC). The lady has been working as a sweeper.
The story of Rajni, an MSC graduate, reached KTR through Twitter. Without wasting any time, KTR swung into action and made sure that Rajni gets the right job that suits her academics. The appointment letter was also sent to Rajni by the concerned officials.
IAS Arvind Kumar took to Twitter to announce the news of Rajni being appointed as the Assistant Entomologist at the GHMC. The job type is outsourcing one. The IAS had attributed the appointment to IT Minister KTR. He said Rajni has two daughters and works as a sweeper for daily wages.
To his tweet, the Indian Administrative Service(IAS) officer had attached the clippings of a news article on Rajni in Telugu that says Rajni, who had completed her BSC in first-class works as a sweeper to take care of her family. Pictures of KTR meeting Rajni and handing over her appointment letter were also attached.
'On hearing the plight of Rajni, who's MSc (organic Chemistry), has 2 daughter & working as sweeper on daily wages, minister @KTRTRS met her today & offered to employ her as Assistant Entomologist on O/S basis in @GHMCOnline.Orders have been issued after verifying her credentials,' the tweet reads.
Rajni comes from a humble background and she couldn't even complete her PhD for the same reason. Media reports say that, in 2013, Rajni reportedly got a chance to get her PhD in her stream. Given her financial condition and the responsibility of running the family fell on her, Rajni had opted to do a job over continuing her studies. All her hard work paid off with Rajni bagging a job.
