Leaders themselves unsure of party's 'Bhavishyattu'

The YSRCP has begun a prestigious campaign from Friday. The programme is titled Jagananne Maa Bhavisyattu. This literally means Jagan is our future. Under this programme, the party leaders and workers have begun going from house to house in all the 175 assembly constituencies of the state to explain about YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's plans and programmes.

The party workers will carry specially designed bags and distributed pamphlets. They also stuck a sticker on the doors.  They will explain about the achievements of Jagan government. They will also explain about the future programmes of the YSRCP government.  The leaders - big and small - are actively taking part in the programme.

But, there is a buzz within the YSRCP about the lingering doubt over the efficacy of the programme. Many party leaders were heard questioning about whether this will get converted into votes. "It's okay to paste stickers. But, will these get us votes," a senior leader of the party was heard asking his colleagues.

In many places, the general public raised questions about the drinking water problem and the bad condition of the roads. Interestingly, these are the two issues that remained largely neglected during the four years of YS Jagan's rule. In some places, the public silenced the leaders with their complaints. This has led many leaders to doubt the efficacy of the programme.
