High Court on Monday granted respite to APNGOs by directing officials of revenue and irrigation departments to maintain status quo(keep things the way they presently are) with regard to the 189 acres and 14 guntas of land allotted to Andhra PradeshNon-Gazetted Officers (APNGOs) Union at Gopannapally in Serilingampalli mandal
Its known that KCR targeted the lands which were allocated to the APNGOS by the previous governments. The Telangana government has taken back 189 acres of prime land allotted to the APNGOs citing various irregularities.
By challenging the Government decision APNGOs knocked the doors of high court.The court asked the Government to file the counter petition in four weeks time. The court also directed the government not to allot this land to anybody till further orders are passed.
The case will come up again in few days for hearing. Further move will be made after HC listens the contentions from both the parties.
Few days back also court ordered the officials to maintain status quo with regard to the N-Convention centre that belongs to Tollywood Hero Nagarjuna.
