Trinamool Chief Snubs Chandrababu

Update: 2019-05-11 13:01 GMT
Trinamool Congress chief and Bengal CM Mamta Didi gave an unforgettable snub to AP CM Chandrababu Naidu. She snubbed his over enthusiasm to decide the prime ministerial candidate. While Chandrababu was over enthusiastic to promote Rahul Gandhi's name and tried to force a consensus, Mamta said nothing doing. She said the day decided by Chandrababu (May 20) is not acceptable to her. She reportedly asked him as to why he was making so much fuss about the possible PM. "How can we decide the Prime Minister before the results are out? Are you sure how many seats you are going to win," she reportedly questioned him. She reportedly pointed out that almost all the surveys were predicting that the TDP would be washed out. The TDP may not get more than 4-5 seats in Parliament. This being the case, why are you so vocal about who should be the PM, she asked him.

After Mamta didi's snub, a chastised Chandrababu Naidu came back to Hyderabad and remained silent.
