An incident of human sacrifice in Jharkhand to appease the rain god for adequate rainfall so that a much better harvest could be expected is really shocking to hear.

Neighbours of Thepa Kharia, a 55-Year-Old, found his headless body at his house in Kharvadih-Kadamdohar village of Gumla district. This place is 130 km away from capital city Ranchi.

Reportedly, Thepa didn't arrive for the Sunday market. Then, a few villagers broke open the door of his house and found his body in a pool of blood.

Family Members of the deceased suspect the role of Orkas and Mudkatwa (occultist group  known for burying human head in paddy fields for rainfall and good harvest) in the death of Kharia. Kharia was alone in the house when the Group attacked him.
