Matka King Breathed His Last Breath

Ratan Khatri, who is widely regarded for making betting popular in India breathed his last breath. He died in his residence in the Mumbai Central area with a brief illness.

He came to India at the time of partition in the year 1947 from Karachi of Pakistan who hails from a traditional Sindhi family. Khatri made Matka form of gambling which has its root from Mumbai to a gambling racket that spread its wings across the nation.

He is the kingpin of gamblers and betting kings who used to enjoy a good hold on Matka for some decades. Khatri is cited as one of the pioneers of the betting system in India.
