And now, Those who have been fighting for Gender Equality have been stressing the necessity for #MenToo Movement in the best interest of males harassed by females.
Documentary Filmmaker Deepika Narayan Bharadwaj who is vocal about Men's Rights points out the need for gender equality. 'If rapists are named and shamed, Even Women who file false cases must named and shamed. Why Media doesn't focus on crimes against Men by Women? A Haryana Court has recently directed Cops to register a case against a Female Basketball Player who made rape allegations on several men to extort money from them.
In a sensational case, A Sessions Court granted Rs 5 lakh compensation to a Man who was falsely accused of rape and had spent 8 months in prison inspite of not committing any crime. He, however, didn't receive the compensation even after 2 years. Recently, The High Court issued a stay order on the compensation saying Judge of the lower court went beyond her judicial powers to grant such a huge amount. Ultimately, That Man not only lost years in his life but also job, reputation and money.
