Minister Gangula Kamalakar is one of a kind politician. He has now landed in an unseemly controversy. He has now filed a case against the very government that he represents. What more, he is also challenging an act, to which he himself is a signatory too.
Gangula Kamalakar owns 15.26 acres of land in Kothapalli area of Kazipur mandal of Karimnagar district. But, the latest Dharani portal claims that he cannot be the owner of the land as it is a government land. Kamalakar has been representing the issue to the revenue officials but to no avail. Left with no option, he has filed a case against the Government of Telangana over the land. Kamalakar had bought the land in 2012 and it was in accordance with the laws of the land at that time. But, the new land laws under Dharani portal say that the land belongs to the government and that Kamalakar is an illegal occupant.
Now challenging this, the minister has approached the court. Interestingly, he is fighting the same law that he as a minister has created. According to the new laws, this land cannot be sold or purchased. It remains to be seen who wins â whether the minister or the law that he has made as a minister?
