Pinipe Viswaroop is among the 10 ministers, who managed to retain his position in the cabinet during the recent reshuffle. He was given the transport ministry. A large number of supporters, fans and party workers took out a massive rally to welcome him. The youth removed the silencers of their two-wheelers and caused huge commotion.

Even as this was going on , Nagaram agricultural market yard chairperson Kondala Rao sprinkled currency notes on the procession. This led to a stampede like situation with the people rushing to collect the sprinkled currency notes lying on the road. Sources say that such a thing has never happened in Amalapuram.

The police, who were offering protection to the rally remained mute spectators even as this strange drama was going on. Even the newly appointed minister did not try to dissuade his supporters from doing what they did. This massive rally and the complicit minister’s silence is now the talk of the town.
