Update: 2015-11-28 04:56 GMT
YSR Congress MP Mithun Reddy made news for all the wrong reasons. On Thursday, Mr. Reddy slapped an Air India Manager Rajasekhar at the Tirupati airport for not letting him board a flight to Delhi as he arrived only after the closure of check-in counter. Even though the Airline asked the Manager to file a complaint, Nothing of that sort happened until Thursday night.

Finally, AI Manager Rajasekhar filed a complaint against Mithun Reddy and 15 Others who accompanied him to the airport on Friday. A case was filed under Sections 448 (trespass), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt) and 34 (criminal force) of Indian Penal Code was filed against all of them. Cops sought the CCTV footage of the incident and also examined the eyewitnesses.

Mithun Reddy, however, denies assaulting the Air India Official. He claimed to have just defended himself when he got pushed and never slapped Rajasekhar. He also says Rajasekhar even apologised for his actions in the presence of senior officials.

Mr.Reddy claimed he was waiting at Tirupati airport for YCP President YS Jagan on Thursday. 'When I went to his room to request him for the boarding pass of my cousin, Rajasekhar behaved rudely with me. I didn't file a complaint as he apologised. CCTV footage proves I hadn't slapped him,' he told.
