The United States witnessed a sudden spike in fresh Coronavirus infections since the US Presidential elections were held in November this year. Since then over one lakh fresh cases have been witnessed daily.

Amid the sudden rise in Coronavirus cases, which is dubbed as the second wave of Coronavirus, many restaurants and eateries across the United States have been closed.

According to the data of the National Restaurant Association, as of Monday, more than 110,000 restaurants have been closed pushing the food business into deep losses.

Even the leading restaurants and eateries across the nation were forced to shut down due to the Coronavirus situation. All the leading restaurants are in the business for more than a decade and a half.

Following this, the US Chamber of Commerce urged Congress to take the required steps to help the food business to recover from the crisis.

A recent survey conducted in the US has found out that a majority of restaurants are hoping that the government will lend a helping hand to those who were pushed into deep losses by the pandemic.

The United States is the worst-affected nation globally with Coronavirus outbreak. The total infections in the country are nearing the 15 million mark with 14,933,847 infections. 283,631 patients have succumbed to the pandemic so far.
