No fund, but Jagan wants the offices in new districts to spruce up

YS Jagan Mohan Reddy may have announced the formation of 26 new districts in AP. But, where are the funds for the new districts? Where are the collectorates and other required infrastructure for the newly formed districts? This is the hotly discussed question in the political circles of Andhra Pradesh!!

As of now, the Jagan government has released Rs 3 crore to each of the new districts. This money is not even enough for the white-washing of the buildings. The district level officials have demanded more, but the central administration has asked the officials to adjust with the amounts and make do with whatever resources are at their command.

Many say the government has not yet given a final decision on the carving out of the new districts and the headquarters of several districts are in dispute. The people have filed around 12000 objections and the government has to take them into consideration. Hence, there is still suspense about the final decision on the area, capital and other issues pertaining to the new districts.

Meanwhile, the Jagan Government has decided to launch the new districts from Ugadi day and wants the officials to reach the headquarters of the new districts. There is confusion among the government employees as to where they should report to.  Also, there is no clarity about the funds for the new districts. But, Jagan is trying to bulldoze his way through and is forcing the officials to renovate the buildings in the new district headquarters.
