Haters of US President-elect Donald Trump began a campaign to dethrone him. Demonstrations have been given, Protests have been held and Signatures have been collected from millions of people.
Protesters began shouting slogans like 'Not My President' at New York, Los Angeles and Chicago. They complain Trump's election as President is a threat to civil and human rights. Placards which read 'Dump Trump' and 'Minorities Matter' have been displayed.
One bright aspect of the demonstrations is non-violence in most of the places. Organizers of rallies and protests have made it clear violence won't be spared. But, Few violent incidents were reported in Portland though. Protestors smashed glasses of the stores, damaged cars and sprayed graffiti. Police have used tear gas and rubber bullets to disperse them.
The change.org petition recommending the Electoral College to prefer Hillary Clinton as US 45th President based on popular vote has garnered over 3.2 million signatures so far. Actually, 538 Electors of the Electoral College will cast their voted on December 19th. Hillary's supporters want Electors to cross-vote by defying the state's popular vote for the Democratic Candidate. Experts, however, say such mass scale revolt is impossible for now.
