No Sweets to Pak Rangers on Republic Day

Update: 2018-01-26 13:00 GMT
Border Security Force (BSF) refused to exchange sweets with Pakistan Rangers on the 69th Republic Day of India over the ceasefire violations.

At the same time, Sweets were exchanged between BSF and Bangladesh Border Guards at Fulbari post Today.

As per the tradition, Indian Jawans and Pak Rangers exchange sweets and greet each other on the eve of festivals and Independence Day or Republic Day. Whenever there is increased tensions between the nations, The practice isn't continued and that's what happened again.

BSF didn't exchange sweets with Pak Rangers for Independence Day 2015 and Diwali 2016 as well. Ceasefire Violations led to the death of many soldiers on both sides in the past two years. The situation would be back to normalcy if Leaders prefer dialogue over war.
