India straightaway reported more than 64,000 fresh infections for the third consecutive day and the total cases of the ongoing pandemic in the country surpassed the 29 lakh-mark.
In the last 24 hours, as many as 68,898 fresh infections were reported and the total infections mounted to mammoth 29,05,823.
The recoveries which are increasing gradually rose to a whopping 2,158,946 including 62,282 fresh recoveries added in a single day. This translates to 74.29 percent.
The Indian Council of Medical Research(ICMR) said around 9 lakh samples were tested across the country and as of now a total of 3,66,71,613 samples were tested for the virus.
Andhra Pradesh added 9,393 fresh cases on Thursday and the total infections zoomed to 3.25 lakh. So far, the state reported 3,001 casualties in connection with the virus.
Fellow Telugu State Telangana reported as many as 1967 fresh infections in the last 24 hours. This takes, the total count of the cases in the state to 99,391.
Looking at the global scenario, the ongoing pandemic left 22,847,829 patients infected with the virus and as many as 796,293 patients succumbed to the contagious disease.
