In its eight years of the regime in power, the saffron party Bharatiya Janata Party took many decisions. Despite strong criticism, the party is not taking a back step. Having a new building for the Parliament will go down as one of the big decisions the saffron party has taken.
It's not that we don't have a Parliament building. Saying that it became old and cannot accommodate the increasing number of Parliamentarians, the Bharatiya Janata Party proposed the idea to have a dedicated building which is titled Central Vista.
The union government is not compromising on the quality of the building. Tata Projects Ltd is taking care of the construction of the project which covers not only the new building but also revamping the whole area that is spread across three kilometers.
The pictures of the project are doing rounds on the internet now after the Union Government posted them on the website. The pictures give a sneak peek into the magnanimity of the structure and the grand scale of the construction. The structure will come with beautiful interiors.
We can see a large structure being readied. There is an Ashoka emblem in front of the structure. There is also good artwork on the walls inside the Central Vista project. It appears that we get to see the art and culture on the walls of the structure which would be readied soon.
The Central Vista project redevelopment was proposed to have a dedicated power corridor. The much-talked-about project includes a Parliament building which will be triangular in shape.
A common Central Secretariat would also be readied along with a dedicated residence for the Prime Minister of India and an enclave for the Vice-President. The three-kilometer-long Rajpath road is also being revamped as part of the project.
The project spread across 64,500 sq. mt was announced back in 2019. Many objections were raised to the project by the opposition parties and the issue even reached the Supreme Court. But the project was given a nod in the court later. The Central Vista project might get readied by this month end. The project was supposed to be concluded by 2022 itself earlier.
