Pay 40 crores to Telangana, Harish Rao demands AP minister

Today Telangana government has demanded the Andhra Pradesh government to release Rs. 40 crore immediately. Ina pre-condition for impounding 20 tmcft water in Pulichintala project Telangana urged Andhra Pradesh Pulichintala project located in Nalgonda district has no benefit to Telangana at all. Andhra Pradesh various districts benefiting due to this project facing little problems since state bifurcation.

Telangana irrigation minister Harish Rao put this demand infront of AP irrigation minister Uma Maheshwar Rao. Today in officials meeting at Hyderabad Harish Rao  informed to AP minister over phone. In this meeting a conclusion drawn on the 13 villages rehabilitation expenditure as 130 crores. In a precondition Telangana government asked to release 40 crores as part of precondition to increase project present capacity 9 tmcft to 20 tmcft. Harish Rao and his officials are positive in increasing the hight of the project in view of utilizing available water resources, For this Umamaheswar Rao responded positively and asked officials to process Harish Rao request.
