Polavaram Reverse Tendering: Chandrababu Caught In A Cleft Stick

The TDP now finds itself caught in a pincer on the issue of Polavaram. The Polavaram reverse tendering is now proving to a huge mill stone around Chandrababu Naidu's neck. It is now proved beyond any speck of doubt that both Chandrababu Naidu and the TDP Government has used Polavaram as a milch cow. In fact, Modi had time and again said that Polavaram project was an ATM for Chandrababu and whenever Chandrababu wanted money, he used to release funds for the contractos. Modi had said that the Polavaram project has become a money spinner for Chandrababu.

Soon after coming to power, YS Jagan has begun the process of reverse tendering. The TDP initially felt this was just a publicity gimmick and tried to dub the YSRCP government as a reverse government. But, soon, they realised that Jagan meant business. Jagan not only got the reverse tendering process done, but even awarded the contracts at much less amounts. Thus, he helped save hundreds of crores. Now, the Telugu Desam and Chandrababu have no answer. They can no longer criticise the YSRCP government. But more than that, they now have to explain why the contracts were awarded at such a high rate.  Now the people of Andhra Pradesh know the truth of Polavaram project and how Chandrababu milked the project. Now he has a lot of damage control to do.
