Political Parties In AP To Have Tough Time In 2024 Polls?

Update: 2022-12-11 09:55 GMT
All eyes are now on the upcoming general elections in Andhra Pradesh to see who will win the elections. While YSRCP is going to go for the elections alone there is no clarity on the part of other parties as they are yet to come to an opinion on how to run the next polls.

The political experts say that the previous elections saw the YSRCP recording a landslide victory and the same is not going to be repeated in the next polls for any party. This will make the next elections an interesting one to watch for.

Telugu Desam Party and Janasena lost the previous elections cheaply and want to show their potential in the next polls. While TDP recorded its worst-ever Assembly elections performance by winning just 23 MLA seats, Janasena barely managed to win just a single MLA.

Many big names like party chief Pawan Kalyan, his brother Nagababu and former Joint Director at Central Bureau of Investigation(CBI) Vasagiri Venkata Lakshminarayana also lost the elections. They lost the polls despite carrying high expectations.

Seeing tough elections ahead Telugu Desam Party tried to form an alliance with Janasena. When everything was going well Bharatiya Janata Party entered the scene and is sending strong messages to Pawan Kalyan that the alliance is not possible if Janasena wants to walk with TDP.

Given the issues between TDP and BJP, the alliance can be worked. If Janasena, BJP, and TDP can come together then the alliance can pull off a 2014-like result and come to power.

Talking about YSRCP it has a good vote bank in minorities, Christians, and Reddys. But the party did not do anything great in terms of growth and development. Forget about development, YCP could not even construct good roads in the state. Not just common people but even politicians also expressed their dissatisfaction with the condition of the road.

So YCP also has to work hard for the next polls. The majority of the MLAs of YCP have no personal image and they won because of Jagan's mania. Now no one can assure if the same mania will be there for the next polls or not.
