A TRS ward councillor who spewed venom on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his now-famous Janata Curfew, was arrested. The councillor, Mohammad Sami, represents Ward No 34 in Sangareddy. Ahead of the Janata Curfew, Sami was caught on video using invectives against PM Narendra Modi.
He said the Muslims would strongly oppose the Janata Curfew as the PM is communal. He also asked the Muslims to congregate in large numbers in the mosques and pray that PM Modi gets Corona virus. He also demanded that the CAA, NRC and NPR be abrogated forthwith failing which the Muslims would continue to protest. The video of his obnoxious comments has gone viral on the Internet and several persons lodged complaint against him for his highly inflammatory comments.
On Sunday, the Sangareddy police booked a case and arrested Mohammad Sami. He has been kept under house arrest. Sangareddy SP Chandrasekhar Reddy said that the police would take a serious view and book cases against anyone who is opposing the Corona control measures.
