The farmers of the capital Amaravati region who are staging protests requesting the government to not shift the capital from Amaravati has met BJP leader and former Union Minister Purandheswari.
The farmers expressed their concerns about the government's decision on the capital city and pleaded her to make the Central government convince the state government to withdraw its decisions.
"BJP is in support of the decentralization of power. The farmers did not give their lands to any particular party. As they gave lands for the government, whoever is in power has to answer the farmers first. The Central government has given 2,500 crores for the capital city, but Chandrababu did not try to build the capital wholeheartedly rather build the city with graphics," she said.
She demanded to reveal the report submitted by GN Rao regarding the capital city. The saffron party will respond to this after seeing what Jagan tells the farmers of the capital region.
