BJP Might Announce EX-CJI Ranjan Gogoi As Assam CM Candidate Says Former Assam CM
Congress senior leader and former Chief Minister of Assam Tarun Gogoi who led the Congress party for three consecutive terms made some shocking and interesting statements.
According to some media reports, the 85-year-old Congress veteran who recently addressed the media said Former Chief Justice of India(CJI) Ranjan Gogoi might run for the elections as CM Candidate under BJP party ticket.
Media outlets quoted former Assam Chief Minister as saying: When Ranjan Gogoi can accept the Rajya Sabha nomination then why can't he accept the Chief Minister post in the general polls.
Gogoi who served as the 46th Chief Justice of India for 13 months between 2018 and 2019 was nominated to Rajya Sabha by President Ram Nath Kovind on 16 March 2020.
