Former CBI joint director-turned-politician Lakshminarayana revealed he has an offer from the YSRCP to join the party. In an interview to a Youtube channel, he said that a YSRCP MP and some others met him recently and invited him into the YSRCP. However, he categorically said that there was no question of joining the YSRCP. He also said that he has an offer from the Jana Sena too.

Lakshminarayana, who was bitten by the political bug, took voluntary retirement from the police service in Maharashtra and came back to Andhra Pradesh. He conducted a yatra on the agricultural problems in the state and then joined the Jana Sena to contest as an MP from Visakhapatnam. Though he was defeated, he managed to get a large number of votes. In fact, he polled the highest number of votes among the Jana Sena candidates in the state.

But, after the 2019 polls, he has become inactive and soon left the Jana Sena due to Pawan Kalyan’s inconsistent ways.  Since then, he has not been attached to any political party. However, he became active on the Vizag Steel Plant issue. In his interview to the YouTube channel, Lakshminarayana said that he has not abandoned the Jana Sena totally. He said he would go back to the party if invited by Pawan Kalyan.

Lakshminarayana is also active in some RSS-affiliated organizations and has addressed the meetings organized by these organizations. However, there is no invitation from the BJP to Lakshminarayana.
