A few nations are already conducting tournaments on the lines of the Indian Premier League. Besides popularity, the income is also high. The IPL has already emerged as the richest tournament in the world. The tournament which starts in April every year is played throughout the summer season. It is the time when students will be free after exams and the tournament was planned at that time. The tournament became a bigger hit than expected and is resulting in an income of thousands of crores. Seeing this, the richest country Saudi Arabia is also planning to bring a tournament.

It is said that the nation is giving massive offers for franchises in the Indian Premier League(IPL) tournament. 'Set up the richest league than the IPL,' Saudi Arabia is reportedly asking the teams. Saying that all the required help and support would be given, the nation is inviting the IPL teams in India to come there. The offer is said to have been given to just IPL organisers, but also to the owners of the IPL team and the cricket governing body in India, the Board of Control for Cricket in India(BCCI).

However, the BCCI is reportedly not permitting players to play in tournaments in other nations. With the Saudi Arabia government proposing, it has become interesting to know how the Board of Control for Cricket in India would deal with the offer and take a call on this. On the other hand, the international body International Cricket Council(ICC) has to permit leagues for international players. But Saudi Arabia has been trying hard for this since last year.

Saudi Arabia has been a member nation of the International Cricket Council(ICC) since 2016. The government is also working on conducting the Asia Cup or one round of the IPL matches if the new league is not possible. Now it has become interesting to know for which proposals, the Board of Control for Cricket in India wive give its nod. Now all eyes are on the cricket body to see what it would decide on the planning of Saudi Arabia to host a separate league.
