Congress Counting Eggs Before They Are Hatched

Update: 2018-07-31 05:32 GMT
This is a classing case of counting eggs even before they are hatched. The elections are a year away and we don't even have an inkling who will go on to win them. But, the Congress, it appears, has already started deciding who would be the CM and who would be the Central Minister.

Former minister Surve Satyanarayana said he has been assured of a berth in the Cabinet by none other than Rahul Gandhi himself. He said that PCC chief Uttam Kumar Reddy would be the chief minister of Telangana after 2019 polls.

Now, this 'revelation' by the SC leader may not exactly be music to the ears of Revanth Reddy, who is part of the Rahul Gandhi's charmed circles and who is aspiring to become the CM. His backers say the Congress does not have the culture of announcing CMs before the elections and that the final call would be taken only after the results are out.

Meanwhile, there are huge speculations about Congress-TDP tieup before the polls. Confirming this Surve Satyanarayana said this would become a reality soon. However, TDP general secretary Lokesh has downplayed this and said that the question of alliances would be decided only three months before the elections.
