Saurav Ganguly in race for President's Post

Update: 2015-09-23 12:10 GMT
The sudden demise of BCCI Chief Jagmohan Dalmiya created a vacuum in Bengal Cricket Association. Dalmiya has served as President of Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) for several years unopposed and electing his successor isn't going to be an easy task.

Reports say, Few Leaders of Trinamool Congress including Ministers have been eying the President's post after Jagmohan Dalmiya's demise.

The one big complaint against Jagmohan Dalmiya is that he never groomed his Successor. So, Who will take the reins of one of the richest associations in Indian Cricket remains a big mystery for now!

Experts believe former Indian cricketer Saurav Ganguly is the best choice in current circumstances. Even sources close to Dada inform that he is keen on becoming the successor to Dalmiya and will test the waters before taking the final decision. West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee could play the role of king-maker here and hence Ganguly is likely to meet her soon.

Ganguly is currently serving as Joint Secretary of Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) but he hardly knew any tricks of Cricket politics to put a check to his opponents.
