Re-Opening Date Of Schools In AP Postponed To November 2nd, No Changes In 'Vidya Kanuka' Scheme
Giving the prevailing situations, the Andhra Pradesh government led by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has decided to postpone the reopening date of the schools in the state to November 2nd.
Andhra Pradesh Education Minister Adimulapu Suresh, who addressed the media said the virus outbreak forced the government to take the tough call.
As per the previous schedule, the schools were slated to be re-opened on October 5th. With the Coronavirus spreading its wings, the schools will remain shut for a few more days.
However, the state government will go ahead with the launching of the flagship scheme of the government 'Jagananna Vidya Kanuka' as per the schedule. The scheme will be launched by CM Jagan on October 5th.
Under the 'Jagananna Vidya Kanuka' scheme, the students studying in the state-run schools will receive three pairs of uniforms, text, and notebooks, bags, shoes, two pairs of socks, a belt, and notebooks.
