Social Media Bullying Proves Costly For Right Wing Trolls

Update: 2020-09-01 06:51 GMT
Modi fans and the pro-BJP IT teams are in a state of shock as anti-BJP and anti-Modi elements attacked his 'Mann Ki Baat' with a flurry of dislikes. At the last count, while the half-hour radio pep talk got 1.8 lakh likes, it got over 7 lakh dislikes.

It is clear that this was a planned effort by anti-Modi social media users. They made secret preparations and created several new accounts to rain dislikes on the YouTube. Clearly, the BJP brigade was caught off the guard and did not prepare for this possibility.

Sources studying social media phenomena say that the BJP has failed in anticipating this attack. Ever since, Right Wing trolls targeted Mahesh Bhatt's Sadak 2 and deluged its trailer with a deluge of dislikes, the non-BJP trolls were preparing for something big. But, no one felt that the Mann Ki Baat would be targeted. More dislikes than likes affects the overall ratings of the celebrities on the social media. This new and unexpected strategy has caught the BJP totally off guard.

Now, for every new video, the BJP and Sangh Parivar will have to be alert and ensure that there are more likes than dislikes. Clearly, the attack on Mahesh Bhatt's Sadak 2 over Sushant Singh Rajput's mystery death, has proved costly for the right wing trolls.
