Why Union Ministers gave a miss to TDP Dharna?

Update: 2016-08-01 11:30 GMT
Today, TDP MPs staged a dharna at the Gandhi statue in Parliament demanding Special Category Status for Andhra Pradesh. None of the Two Union Ministers Ashok Gajapathi Raju and Sujana Chowdary took part in the protest. This development raised many eye-brows already.

Reports were abuzz that Central Ministers Ashok Gajapathi Raju and Sujana Chowdary offered to resign after Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley's speech in Rajya Sabha. However, Chandrababu Naidu asked them to wait for some more time.

TDP Government sought the appointment of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to discuss about the issue. Naidu would take a call on continuing the ties with BJP based on the assurance given by PM.

However, The absence of Cabinet Ministers during the dharna raised the doubt whether TDP is giving more importance to the posts than the rights of Andhra People.
