Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu unveiled the draft of 'Sunrise Andhra Pradesh Vision 2029' document Today during the 2-day Collectors Conference.
The draft envisions transformation of AP, which is in crisis, into a happy, responsible, globally competitive and innovation-driven society. Sole agenda of behind it is to make AP one amongst Top 3 states in the country by 2022 and No.1 in India by 2029.
Naidu told AP will adopt Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) 2030 which consists of 17 goals and 169 targets such as eradication of poverty, improving the standards of education and health. As of the goals and targets are irrelevant to AP, State Government has picked up only 12 goals and 115 targets from it.
AP aims to achieve Human Development Indicator of 0.7 by 2019 and 0.8 by 2022.
As per estimate, Rs 17 lakh crore will be needed for required infrastructure in AP by 2029.
Agriculture Sector share in the state economy is expected to fall to 22-25 percent by 2029 from 28 percent at present.
