T Congress to adopt Karnataka strategy in Telangana

Update: 2023-04-05 10:13 GMT
Is the Congress Party trying to adopt the Karnataka formula in the state? Insiders say yes.  The party would soon implement the Karnataka strategy which has helped the Congress emerge as a strong contender for power in the state, which is now in election mode. This would benefit the party immensely, sources feel.

In Karnataka, the Congress has announced its candidates for each constituency almost six months in advance. This has helped to quell dissidence within the party. At the same time, this has cleared the confusion about who the candidate would be. The candidate too has got sufficient time to plan his campaign strategies. As a result, the party is in a fighting fit position in the state.

The party is said to be planning to implement the same strategy in Telangana too. It wants to declare the candidates well in advance so that they would get sufficient leverage to plan their strategies.  This would also help them in reaching out to the voters of the constituency well in time. If sources are to be believed, the candidates would be sounded out well in advance.

The Congress leaders of Telangana are already campaigning in Karnataka. A team led by former minister and Manthani MLA D Sridhar Babu is already in Karnataka. Several key leaders like Uttam Kumar Reddy would also campaign in Karnataka. Party state chief Revanth Reddy too will campaign in the state after April 25. The Congress believes that this would be a learning experience for the party leaders from Telangana.
