Telangana Government naming just 459 people as the ones who immolated themselves for achieving statehood instead of 1,200-plus as claimed by TRS Leadership prior to the general elections has stirred a huge controversy.
Unable to bear the insult, Sabitha who happens to be the wife of Pradeep who sacrificed his life for bifurcation attempted suicide in Vikarabad of Ranga Reddy district.
Apparently, Sabitha went to local tehsil office to check if her husband's name was included in T-Martyrs list. Upon knowing about the non-inclusion, She was upset with Government not recognizing the sacrifice of her husband and also complained injustice happened to her as she wasn't included in the beneficiaries list (Rs 10 lakhs ex-gratia). She reached home and consumed sleeping pills. She is now out of danger with her family members rushing her to hospital within the time.
