TDP Leaders benefitting from Special Status

The U-Turn taken by TDP Leaders on the Special Category Status after announcement on Special Package by Centre is really surprising. Union Minister Sujana Chowdary has openly declare Special Status is of no use.

In reality, Several TDP Leaders were benefitting from Special Category Status. They have invested in states accorded with Special Status for Tax Incentives. Particularly, Most of them have doing their business operations in Uttarakhand.

Then, Vajpayee Government accorded Special Status to Uttarakhand soon after its formation. Exception of Excise Duty, Central Services Tax (CST) and Income Tax incentives were the benefits it received. Take a look at how TDP leaders made good use of the Special Status here...

Sujana Chowdary has set up manufacturing unit of fans in Uttarakhand. His name appeared as the chairman of the firm in 2006 Annual Report.

Rajya Sabha MP CM Ramesh has invested Rs 69 lakhs in Uttarakhand's North Eastern Power Projects.

Guntur MP Galla Jaydev's Amaraja Company bought lands in Uttaranchal for setting up its new plant. This was mentioned in Company's annual report for the financial year 2009-10.

Anantapur MP JC Diwakar Reddy and Narsaraopet MP Rayapati Sambasiva Rao have business interests in Uttarakhand.
