TDP is known for its tech savvy apparatus and its social media soldiers can give blushes to even the toughest of the leaders. The social media army of the party is so strong that it can create, peddle and perpetuate a narrative very effectively and in no time. But the very same TDPâs official Twitter handle has been hacked.
The official Twitter handle on Saturday morning was found filled with content that is against the TDP. The name of the handle has been changed to Elon Musk and funny tweets were uploaded on the Twitter handle. Several baffled TDP sympathisers highlighted the hacking and alerted the TDP bosses.
Waking up to the information, TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh admitted on Twitter that the handle of the TDP was compromised by the hackers. He told the fans and supporters through his tweet that efforts were on to revive the Twitter handle. The TDP tech support team is said to be working on restoring the Twitter account.
This perhaps is the first time that a party handle in Telugu states has subjected to cyber attack. The TDP sources said that they were going to the roots of the cyber attack and expressed the apprehension that overseas supporters of the YSRCP could be behind this cyber attack.
