In what it could be a piece of good news to alcohol lovers it has been reported that the drunk and drive tests in Telangana might get eased. As the deadly corona virus is fast-spreading, a TRS MLA has raised the same issue in the state assembly to stop the tests in the state until the virus is rooted out of the state.

There is a point in MLA’s issue with the scarcity of the breath analyzers the Telangana police were reportedly using the same analyzers for four to five people. This might result in a widespread virus in the state.

During the Zero Hour, Ibrahimpatnam MLA Manchireddy Kishan Reddy raised the same issue and requested the Home Minister of Telangana to do away with the breath analyzer tests for around 30 days.

He added that traffic police are using the same staw to test more vehicle drivers using breathalyzers which are inculcating fear in the public that this might spread the virus at a large scale.

“We established a State control room at Hyderabad and 104 call center is operating as corona helpline. Isolation wards have been established in 13 government hospitals in the State, while an ICMR accredited COVID-19 testing lab has been set up at Gandhi Hospital. Awareness programmes are being taken up across the State,” Health Minister Eatala Rajender said in the house on the COVID-19.
