TS High Court Makes Serious Remarks Over COVID Fatalities

The Telangana High Court which heard a petition filed concerning COVID management in the state slammed the state government over the way they are handling the situation.

The Court found fault with the state government for not addressing the issue of overcharges charged by the private hospitals and asked what is stopping the government from taking action against the private hospitals.

High Court asked the government to how many private hospitals did the government sent notices and issued directives to submit a  comprehensive report on the 22nd of this month.

The Court even expressed doubts over the COVID fatalities in the state and said the government is decreasing the actual fatality count and asked, "Are just 8-10 people are dying to pandemic?"

The Court made serious remarks over the COVID fatalities and said the state government is not releasing the actual data since March and added that if false reports were submitted again then CS has to appear before the court again. The next hearing is adjourned to the 24th of this month.
