Telangana Is No.1 State In Egg Consumption

With the deadly impact of the novel Coronavirus, the prices of vegetables and non-veg started skyrocketing, leaving the poor and middle class to look for other options.

Well, Eggs emerged as the best alternate for non-veg. Despite less price, eggs offer A, E, B5, B12, as well as iron, iodine, and phosphorus that play a vital role in increasing the immunity power.

The recent survey carried out by the National Egg Coordination Committee (NECC) has found out that egg consumption has increased in Telangana post Coronavirus outbreak.

The survey maintained that Telangana has been selling a whopping 2 crore eggs in the state. Earlier around 1.8 crore eggs were sold at an average. The count increased significantly.

As per the survey, in June and July egg consumption increased in Telangana increased largely. However, the consumption of eggs in the Hyderabad area saw a dip.

With the consumption of the eggs increasing in the state, experts opined that very soon the poultry industry might reach 70 percent of the pre-pandemic situation.
