Now that the budget session of the AP Assembly will soon be held, there is confusion among the TDP members as to whether they should attend or abstain.
It may be recalled that Chandrababu has announced during the last assembly sessions that he would return to the assembly only as the chief minister of the state. Since then, he has not been attending the assembly.
However, there is a difference of opinion among the TDP MLAs whether they should attend the budget session of the assembly or not. While some members said that there was no point in attending as their leader has decided to abstain, the majority however felt that if they boycott the assembly, the YSRCP would have a free run. There would be no check on the ruling party.
Interestingly, neither Chandrababu nor Atchen Naidu gave any clarity on the issue. Chandrababu despite several requests. The TDP has 23 MLAs, of which 4 MLAs are now backing the YSRCP even while officially being in the TDP.
Sources said that another meeting of the TD Legislature Party would soon be held and a final decision would be taken.
