Maha CM Following KCR: No Full Cabinet Even After 60 Days

Update: 2019-12-14 06:55 GMT
It's been almost two months and there are still no signs of a full cabinet in Maharashtra. Just seven ministers are taking care of as many as 56 portfolios in the state leading to an administrative paralysis. The files are piling up and the performance of the government is affected.

With the three parties still undecided about who will get how many ministries, things are stuck and the government is in a limbo. Being the largest of the three Shiv Sena wants more ministries, but Sharad Pawar's Nationalist Congress is demanding that it too be given ministries commensurate with its strength. However, Shiv Sena wants both Home and Finance to be with it as in the earlier BJP-Shiv Sena government. In the Fadnavis Government, both the departments were with the BJP. However, the NCP and the Congress do not want to follow this system. So, thing are stuck there. Another bone of contention is the deputy CM post. While the NCP is insisting on it, the Shiv Sena is not too keen on giving it to the NCP.

Meanwhile, there are reports that the Winter Session of the Maharashtra Government would be held in Nagpur in the third week of December and CM Uddhav Thackeray hopes to complete the task of cabinet formation by then.
