Update: 2016-05-27 09:49 GMT
The new Visa regulations which come into effect from December last year has been a setback to leading Indian IT Firms. Why because, The Companies have to shell out additional $4,000 for each H1-B Visa application.

In addition, Aspirants of L-1 Visa should be prepared to pay $4,500 in excess of what US Firm usually pay. These new regulations will be implemented till September 30th, 2025.

Indian IT Companies have to bear a burden of $400 Million due to the new regulations. The new law will be applicable for any Indian Firm that employs at least 50 people in the USA. Even PM Narendra Modi isn't welcoming this move.

While H1-B Visas permit Foreign Professionals to work in USA, L-1 Visas are for employees of International Firms with branches in US & other Countries.
