US Congress served a letter to Dr Reddy's Laboratories (DRL) seeking information regarding price hike of some Generic Drugs (namely divalproex sodium ER and pravastatin sodium) sold in the developed Nation.
In response, Dr Reddy's Laboratories conveyed that the launch of Divalproex Sodium ER happened on August 19, 2013 but the price hike hasn't been implemented ever since then. The company also mentioned it sold Pravastatin Sodium in the US between January 1, 2012 and August 20, 2012 but did not increase the price of this product.
Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd is a Hyderabad-based pharmaceutical company with very good reputation. Getting under the scanner of US is a thing to worry for the company.
