Yes⦠India wants to ban Chinese products. Post-Galvan valley clash where 20 Indian soldiers made the supreme sacrifice, anti-China sentiment has grown exponentially in India. The people, especially the youth, do not want to buy any Chinese products. According to a survey by the Indian Institute of Human Brands, which conducted a telephonic survey, 84 per cent of the Indians are against buying Chinese products.
The survey also shows that the people even oppose stars and celebrities, who are promoting Chinese brands. The approval ratings of Katrina Kaif, Ranibir Kapur, Deepika Padukone, Aamir Khan and rap star Baadshah are quite low compared to stars who do not promote the Chinese brands. But, one shocking thing is that while there is a very strong anti-China sentiment in the country, at least 32 percent of the respondents in the survey do not know which products are of the Chinese make. This means that despite a strong anti-China sentiment, a large section may actually end up buying the very same Chinese products that they want to discard.
Interestingly, those who have already bought Chinese mobiles are saying that they would continue to use the same phones, but will buy a non-Chinese mobile next time.
