The young voters are moving away from the party in a big way and what is more worrisome is that they are moving closer to the BJP. So, the party has begun a major drive to recruit youths during the party's membership drive.
In fact, the youth was the biggest strength of the party during the agitation for a separate Telangana state. However, over the years, the youth have got disenchanted with the party and is moving closer to the BJP. Hence, as part of the membership drive, special efforts are being made to lure the youth. Of late, the party leaders are organizing cricket tournaments these days to lure the youth. Similarly, the Telangana Jagruthi of Kavitha Kalwakuntla too is busy organizing youth retreats to bring the youth to the party.
