With the cabinet reconstitution dominating the political discourse in Andhra Pradesh, the debate is on which woman politician will make it to the cabinet.
The names of three women MLAs are doing the rounds in the political circles. The three names are Anantapur's Singanamala MLA Jonnalagaddi Padmavathy, Kalyandurg MLA Ushasri Charan and Chilakaluripet MLA Vidadala Rajini.
Sources say that the social category of these MLAs and their activism in their respective constituencies would help them in getting a berth in Jagan cabinet.
Jonnalagadda Padmavathi belongs to the SC community andher husband Aluru Sambasiva Reddy is from the Reddy community. He is the member of the State Committee on Educational Reforms. By making her a ministry, Jagan can satisfy both the SCs and the Reddys.
Ushasri Charan is from the BC community and her husband is a Reddy. She too would be useful as her elevation will satisfy both the BCs and the Reddys. Jagan's latest focus is on the BCs, who he thinks would play a key role in the days to come. But only one among the two candidates could be chosen by the CM.
As for Vidadala Rajini, she is a BC and her husband is a Kapu. By making her a minister, he would cater to the needs of both the powerful communities. Vidadala Rajini sure stands out among the women politicians with her powerful persona.
She is also a great communicator. She is quite active on the social media. It remains to be seen who finds YS Jagan's favour as those who become ministers now would remain till the end of the term.
