Update: 2019-02-26 09:11 GMT
Indian Air Force conducted air strikes on the biggest terror camp of Jaish-e-Mohammed in Pakistan's Balakot at around 3.30 am on Tuesday.

Foreign Secretary Vijay Gokhale explained why India targeted the terror camp of Jaish-e-Mohammed during the media briefing: 'We have credible information about the training of fedayeen jihadis in the Balakot Camp. Intelligence cautioned about few more suicide terror attacks planned by JeM in other parts of the country. A non-military pre-emptive strike became absolutely necessary'.

Close to 300 Terrorists have been eliminated with the air strikes at Balakot. Measures have been taken by the Indian Air Force to avoid civilian casualties. The terror camp was led by JeM Chief Maulana Masood Azhar's Brother-in-Law Maulana Yousuf Azhar.

Balakot Terror Camp was located in the dense forest on a hilltop which is far away from the civilian area. This camp is being used by JeM to train terrorists for fedayeen attacks.
