Will Kiran Kumar Reddy be the next APCC chief?

Update: 2019-11-21 03:56 GMT
There is a strong buzz in the Congress about who would be the next PCC chief. The incumbent PCC chief Raghuveera Reddy has already resigned post the humiliating drubbing the party received in the 2019 elections. The Party had contested a large number of seats, but drew a blank. This is the second consecutive time when there is no Congress MLA in AP Assembly.

After the election defeat in 2019, Raghuveera has hung up his boots. He is getting ready to walk into the sunset. Despite AICC AP affairs incharge Oomen Chandy’s best efforts no leader is ready to take the mantle of the party leadership. Many have openly said that there was no future for the party. Some said they do not have the resources to run the party for five years. So, the high command is now looking towards Kiran Kumar Reddy. Kiran, it feels, has the dynamism and the drive to revive the party in the state.

Kiran Kumar Reddy, who was the last CM of the undivided AP, has left the Congress to form Samaikyandhra Party and disbanded the party to return to the Congress ahead of the 2019 elections. Kiran Kumar Reddy , sources said is interested to take the post of the PCC chief and run the affairs of the party.
